FG To Deliver Six Cancer Centres In Two Years
Within the next two years, the Federal Government of Nigeria hopes to have six new cancer facilities completed.
When he appeared as a guest on Channels Television's breakfast programme Sunrise Daily on Monday, Nigeria's Coordinating Minister of Health and Social Welfare, Ali Pate, stated as much.
Since bunkers must be constructed, I believe that the facilities would be finished, the equipment would be in place, personnel would have received training, and a maintenance agreement would have been put in place in around 18 to 24 months. On the broadcast, he stated, "They [patients] cannot sit on the ground."
He claims that N37.4 billion has been given to the Federal Ministry of Health to improve oncology care accessibility in various geopolitical zones, which would be outfitted with cutting-edge medical infrastructure.
He said the ministry is taking each project one at a time to deliver the mandate of President Bola Tinubu’s administration.
