FULL LIST: Five new players to watch in the Premier League

The start of the new Premier League season is quickly approaching, and while some well-known players will be returning, there will also be new players hoping to establish themselves in the league.

When it comes to preparing for the 2024–25 season, some clubs have been busier than others.

The ten players that BBC Sport has selected to stand out in England's premier league are listed in no particular order.
Arsenal signed Italian defender Riccardo Calafiori to bolster their defensive options as they look to upset Manchester City once more in the Premier League this year.

At the end of July, the 22-year-old finished his £42 million transfer from Bologna.
The adaptable left-footer only became a member of the Serie A team for £3.3m last summer but swiftly became a key player, drawing interest from clubs across Europe after being one of the standout figures in a disappointing Euro 2024 campaign for Italy.
Manchester United forward Joshua Zirkzee
Joshua Zirkzee, a striker from the Netherlands who arrived in the Premier League via Bologna, signed a £36.54 million move to join Manchester United this summer.
The former player for Bayern Munich, who scored 12 goals in 37 games in Italy the previous season, will wear number 11 for the Red Devils in the upcoming campaign.

Manchester City forward Savinho

In July, Manchester City paid £30 million to buy Troyes' Savinho, a winger from Brazil.
Last season, the 20-year-old played a key role in Girona's third-place La Liga finish while on loan from Spanish team. He played his first international match for Brazil in March against England, and he has since earned six more caps.

"He has a big role to play for Manchester City this season and beyond," stated Txiki Begiristain, director of football for the city. His ability has our utmost confidence.

Striker Niclas Fullkrug of West Ham
In an attempt to restructure the West Ham team for the upcoming campaign, new manager Julen Lopetegui has made a number of additions, but Niclas Fullkrug might be the best of them all.
The Germany striker, 31, paid £27 million to join the Hammers from Borussia Dortmund.

Daichi Kamada, a midfielder for Crystal Palace
In 2023–24, he ended as the runner-up in the Champions League with 15 goals in 46 games. Though he didn't start a game, he scored twice as hosts Germany advanced to the quarterfinals of the 2024 European Championship.
Oliver Glasner, the Crystal Palace manager, moved to bring in a player he was familiar with this summer with the signing of Japan midfielder Daichi Kamada.
