On Thursday, the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board declared which candidate groups will not be allowed to take the post-Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination, or Post-UTME.

"Candidates from outside Nigeria who applied through UTME/DE modes are exempt from the Post UTME screening test but can be screened after admission," said Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, Registrar of JAMB, regarding the list of applicants to be excluded.

"Post-UTME screening is not required for candidates with disabilities, which include but are not limited to those who are blind, deaf, mute, autistic, amputees, lame, paralysed, have Down syndrome, dyslexia, ADHD, albinism, cerebral palsy, and disfigurements.

Oloyede stated, "All institutions should strictly enforce this policy and clearly disclose this exemption in their advertisements for the Post-UTME screaning test."
A minimum of 140 was previously set by stakeholders for admission to universities, while 100 was set for polytechnics and institutes of education.
