JUST IN: JAMB releases UTME supplementary results
The results of applicants who took part in the supplemental Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination, which was held between June 21 and 22, 2024, have been made public by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board.
This was said in a statement released on Friday in Abuja by this board's spokesperson, Dr. Fabian Benjamin.
28,835 candidates who were unable to provide biometric verification for the primary 2024 UTME sat the supplementary exam, according to JAMB.
In a similar spirit, the board declared that the other group of candidates consisted of students who were granted a retake chance but were suspected of participating in exam misconduct during the main UTME.
The exercise, which was a big success across the country, was distinguished by increased security measures implemented by the board to prevent any instance of examination infractions.
The board stated that as a result, some evildoers who had tried to pose as legitimate candidates were caught and turned over to police enforcement for additional examination and legal action.
It declared that it will keep using cutting-edge technology before, during, and after its exams to make sure that no applicant gains anything from any transgressions.
As a result, JAMB advised applicants to abstain from any abnormal behaviour during their exams for their own benefit.
Additionally, the board forbade candidates from altering their score sheets to create fictitious ones with higher marks or asking scammers to raise their results.
Additionally, it instructed candidates to use the same phone number they used to receive their profile numbers at the beginning of registration to text UTMERESULT to 55019 or 66019 in order to view their results from the supplemental UTME.
