Na’Allah bows out as UniAbuja VC, hands over to Maikudi

On Monday, Professor Abdulrasheed Na'Allah gave Prof. Aisha Maikudi, the acting vice chancellor, control of the University of Abuja's operations.

On July 1, 2019, Na'Allah was named the university's vice-chancellor.

He was the VC of the state-owned Kwara State University in Malete, Kwara State, before being appointed as the VC of UniAbuja.

Na'Allah graduated from the University of Ilorin in 1988. He then went on to earn his master's degree there in 1992 before pursuing his doctorate in comparative literature at the University of Alberta in Edmonton, Canada.

During his speech of handover, Na'Allah thanked the university community for allowing him to serve.

"I am appreciative that I have a capable staff working with me and I am handing over to the same great team. It is my prayer that the university will continue to make giant strides. I will continue to support the university in whatever way I can.
"Technically, I'm still with this university while I take my sabbatical because I am going to be on one."
