Over 6.2 million Nigerians complete online voter pre-registration – INEC

Over 6.2 million Nigerians successfully completed their online pre-registration for the Continuous Voter Registration during the sixth week of the initiative, as reported by the Independent National Electoral Commission on Monday.

The statistics, shared on INEC’s official X account and website, indicated that a total of 6,232,673 individuals pre-registered between September 22 and 28, 2025.

Among this total, 3,250,338 were female, constituting 52.15 percent, while 2,982,335 were male, representing 47.85 percent. Young individuals aged 18 to 34 continued to lead the registration process, with 4,230,715 individuals registering during this timeframe. Students accounted for a notable segment with 1,565,824 registrations, and individuals with disabilities totaled 137,865.

INEC also noted that 1,004,132 Nigerians completed both online and physical registrations in the fifth week, covering the period from September 22 to 26, 2025.

This total includes 537,743 who completed their registration online and 466,389 who finalized the process in person.

Demographic information for the registrations completed in week five revealed that 555,077 were female (55.28 percent) and 449,055 were male (44.72 percent). Young individuals constituted 742,379 of the total, while students numbered 354,406. The count of registered persons with disabilities during that week was 13,987.
