Renowned Evangelist Uma Ukpai dies at 80

The esteemed Nigerian evangelist and spiritual leader, Rev. Dr. Uma Ukpai, associated with the Uma Ukpai Evangelistic Association, has passed away.

This information was verified in a statement released on Monday by his family, who reported that he died on 6 October 2025 at the age of 80.

The family characterized his death as a "glorious transition" from a life dedicated to service to eternal peace.

Ukpai, who is widely acknowledged as a spiritual general and a founding figure of faith, devoted more than sixty years of his life to evangelism, the dynamic teaching of the Word, and prophetic demonstrations of God's power.
