Tinubu, Shettima critics will be disappointed, say support groups

The Director-General of the Conference of Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Kashim Shettima National Support Groups, Eniola Ehinafe, has said that the new administration will disappoint its critics by improving the nation’s economy beyond expectations.

Ehinafe stated that both the president and his vice are politicians and technocrats who have the experience and capacity to move the country out of the challenges it is currently facing.

Speaking at an event to celebrate Tinubu, Shettima and supporters of the All Progressives Congress in Abuja, Ehinafe said those who voted against Tinubu would be surprised by the level of development the country will witness in a few months.

He said that for the first time in the history of Nigeria, two former governors who had served two terms in office have become the President and Vice President at the same time.

Ehinafe said, “For the first time in the history of political architecture in Nigeria, Senators become the president and vice president. For the first time in Nigeria, a politician and technocrat became the president and vice president. Since we believe in the capacity of this government, we have no option but to synergize with the government and showcase and complement the efforts, in order to bring dividends of democracy to Nigerians.
“For those who voted against Tinubu, they don’t know because their own economic boom, unfortunately, is tied, even to this government.
“Most critics of Tinubu will be surprised the way their economic growth and resources they long expected will come speedily and perhaps they will regret that, oh, if I had known, I would have voted for this man.”

Ehinafe explained, “So if you look at the President and the Vice President, you will discover that they are technocrats. They are politicians. That means they are combining two capacities together to make a government and I believe that this government is going to be an encompassing and inclusive one that believes in a knowledge-based economy, whereby the younger generation or the middle class will be able to increase their productive capacities.

“In fact, we should also be expecting growth in the Gross Domestic Product of Nigeria.”

The CEO of AS Wonders Homes and Properties, and President, Tinubu Shettima Movement, Dr. Agbi Omobamidele Stephen, said Tinubu will prioritise the construction of affordable houses for Nigerians.

Stephen, while noting that the president’s critics will be disappointed, assured that Tinubu will ensure mass housing in the country to ameliorate the housing deficit.

He said, “For the past weeks, we’ve been having a series of events. We as groups have spent so much and thank God for the successful election, we saw our preferred candidates winning. It calls for celebration.
“After today, we’re still going to have three days of celebration and immediately, we will kick start work.”

“Like I said earlier, housing will now be affordable to Nigerians. This is certain. You don’t need millions in your account to become a property owner. There will be mortgages to allow low-income earners own houses and they will pay back in some years,” he explained.
