Tinubu to leave for Equatorial Guinea on official visit

On Wednesday, August 14, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is scheduled to leave Abuja for a three-day official visit to Malabo, Equatorial Guinea.

President Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo invited President Tinubu, who will meet with the leader of Equatorial Guinea at the Presidential Villa upon arrival, according to a statement released on Tuesday, August 14, by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale.

Agreements on security, oil and gas, and other topics of mutual interest will be signed during the visit.
The message went on to say that Ambassador Yusuf Tuggar, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, and other cabinet officials would accompany President Tinubu.
The journey seeks to deepen connections between Equatorial Guinea and Nigeria by looking at potential for cooperation and collaboration in key sectors.

The announcement stated that the President will be accompanied on the trip by Ambassador Yusuf Tuggar, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, and other members of his cabinet who would be participating in signing agreements and reviewing potential to expand bilateral relations.
