Uphold NYSC core values, DG urges corps members
The Director-General of the National Youth Service Corps, Brigadier General Olakunle Nafiu, has urged Corps Members to embrace the fundamental values of the scheme throughout their service year and beyond.
In a post shared on NYSC’s X handle on Tuesday, Nafiu made this appeal while addressing the 2025 Batch ‘C’ Corps Members who are currently participating in the Orientation Course in Rivers State.
He encouraged the Corps Members to exhibit patriotism and to allow integrity, efficiency, transparency, and commitment to guide their actions.
Praising the Corps Members for answering the call to serve their nation, Nafiu motivated them to make constructive contributions to national development during and after their service year.
Previously, the NYSC Rivers State Coordinator, Mr. Moses Oleghe, provided the camp situation report, noting that the 2,586 Corps Members in the Orientation Course have shown remarkable levels of discipline, patriotism, and commitment.
The address by the NYSC DG highlights the ongoing efforts of the scheme to instill positive virtues and a sense of national responsibility in Nigerian youth as they prepare to make meaningful contributions to society.
