Apologise to him now — Akpabio’s supporters tell Natasha

A contingent of women has converged upon the National Assembly to demand an apology from Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan regarding her allegations of sexual harassment against Senate President Godswill Akpabio.

The group, operating under the banner of United Women for Good Governance, arrived at the National Assembly on Wednesday, March 5, 2025, carrying placards.

Some of the messages displayed on the placards included, “Apologize to the Senate President”; “We oppose Natasha's repeated blackmail”; and “Akpabio regarded Natasha as both a daughter and a friend.”

Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan, who represents Kogi Central, recently accused Akpabio of sexually harassing her during a visit to his home in December 2023, as well as during her inquiries regarding her motion on the Ajaokuta Steel Company.

Additionally, she has previously had disputes with the Senate President concerning her seating arrangement, claiming that she was intentionally isolated from her fellow senators.
