New service leaders arrive at the Senate for evaluation.

The newly appointed Service Chiefs reached the National Assembly Complex at approximately 10 a.m. on Wednesday, accompanied by other high-ranking military officials, as reported by Channels.

Their arrival came in response to the Senate's decision to advance the screening to Wednesday, October 29, which reversed the previous schedule to conduct it next week.

This announcement was made shortly after Senate President Godswill Akpabio presented a letter from President Bola Tinubu, requesting the confirmation of General Olufemi Oluyede as the Chief of Defence Staff.

The newly appointed service chiefs made their way to the National Assembly Complex on Wednesday, in the company of senior military officers.
Akpabio indicated that the change in schedule was essential to allow the new military chiefs to begin their responsibilities without any delay.
