Veteran Actor Amaechi Muonagor Is Dead
Amaechi Muonagor, a seasoned actor in Nollywood, passed away. At the age of sixty-two.
Late on Sunday night, the actor's cousin and well-known musician "Tony One Week" Muonagor posted on his official Instagram account to confirm his passing.
In a photo with a burning candle, he said, "Rest in peace, Meeche." You left your impact on the community. Until next time, Nwanne.
The musician revealed the details of his cousin's medical condition in November.
Amaechi is currently suffering from a stroke, diabetes, and kidney problems. Over the years, he had been living his life and taking care of his diabetes. At the Nnamdi Azikiwe University Teaching Hospital Nnewi, he is currently receiving weekly dialysis as well as other therapies," the Onwa December singer stated on his Facebook page.
"His family had been paying for the expenses for many years, but with his recent stroke, his case became more serious and costly to pursue on its own, which is why it became public.
"I have done and am still doing my best, within the limits of my abilities, to assist as much as I can, even reaching out to well-meaning individuals who are donating to this cause."
The actor who passed away gained fame for his part in the 2022 film Aki and Pawpaw. Among his film credits are Igodo, Karishika, Last Burial, and Police Recruit.
He was from the Anambra State town of Idemili.
His passing occurred many weeks after that of legendary performer John Okafor, popularly known as Mr Ibu.
